Welcome to Found, an International Art Gallery

Found, created in the fall of 2000 by Ann and Keith Graber Miller and originally named Graber Designs Gallery, is a small, family-owned business that markets art by international craftspeople and Graber family art (paintings, limited edition prints, miniature pottery, books) as well as
provides aesthetic consulting services . In 2008 we opened Found in a small storefront in downtown Goshen, Indiana (208 S. Main Street), though a good portion of our business is still done online. If you'd like to take a virtual tour of the gallery, click here.

From January 15 through mid-May, we'll be doing renovations on the gallery, but you can still purchase our international art and antiques, vintage items, and Graber family art through this website or by emailing us at graberdesignsaol.com.

Featured among our art and antiques are hand-woven Bulgarian kilim rugs (see our newest arrivals); Bulgarian Orthodox icons painted using the techniques of the ancient masters; Ethiopian Orthodox icons; kilim pillow shams and pads made from antique kilims; Chinese peasant paintings; Asian art and antiques; Russian lacquered boxes; Yixing Chinese teapots; Haitian paintings; Panamanian molas; recycled artillery shell jewelry; and other exotic artifacts from around the world. Watercolors by Ann Graber Miller, who holds an M.A. in art from Western Michigan University; sister Jane Graber's miniature pottery; and children’s books illustrated by Ann's other sisters also are featured in our shop. As of 2011, we now have one of the premiere collections of 20th-century ethnographic West African art, though we are still cataloguing and photographing the 800 pieces in this extraordinary collection. See also our East African art, including Tanzanian/Kenyan tingatinga paintings and Ethiopian Orthodox icons, from our Summer 2011 trip to Kenya and Ethiopia.

As we travel internationally to various locations in Asia, the Caribbean, Africa, and Eastern Europe -- often living overseas for two to five months at a time -- we work directly with artisans and weavers and their intermediaries, providing income for these extraordinary craftspeople. We hand-select all of the antiques and new artifacts in our gallery, buying fair trade as often as possible. We regularly travel to Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey, bringing home antique kilims (some of museum quality) and Eastern Orthodox icons. In April 2010 we returned from five months in Southeast Asia. In 2011 we were in Puerto Rico, Kenya, and Ethiopia, and on the schedule for 2012 are trips to Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Cambodia, Thailand, and Guatemala.

Beginning in June 2012, Found will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and later on the First Friday of each month. We are also happy to arrange for showings at the business before and after hours. Please keep in mind that our storefront gallery will be closed entirely for our renovations from January 15 through late May. Please feel free to contact us by emailing graberdesignsaol.com, phoning 574.534.4394, or by clicking on the Contact Found page on this site.
